April 19, 2012 NEW ADVENTURE PARK TO OPEN IN JUNE Today, Upper Clements Parks Society chairman David Brown announced that their new Adventure Park will open this year. Brown says “the Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that our new Adventure Park will open in early June”, he added that “this new development will complement our existing Theme Park and build upon our mandate, as a non profit organization, to create more jobs and bring many more visitors to the region.” General Manager Gregg Gaul said that “we are pleased with our progress and that the process has included a comprehensive development plan, which began with a feasibility study and a sustainable business plan, as well as environmental and archaeological impact assessments”. Gaul says “we hired a leader in the global industry with Prisme Equipment Canada who is headquartered in France, and has built parks throughout Europe, China and North America.” “Our Adventure Park design is based on European standards and will include 43 platform stations consisting of elevated challenge courses and bridges, with multiple ziplines of varying lengths where, in fact, some will have participants ziplining above other ziplines” Gaul said, “all going from tree to tree”. “This development is a win win for the region . . . more jobs, more visitors, more economic spin offs this year.” Gaul goes on to say that “this is a major step forward in our development plans to create a true destination area.”
